Post by 1990BerettaGTZ2.3L »

Saw the other 88 cav post so I thought I'd post one that's in my town it's dang near mint and trust me it is cause this guy is has a bigtime reputation for buying and selling clean cars!! You should have saw the mint 91 that I almost bought off him for $1500 it was indentical to this one, but I think some mice chewed some wiring under tge hood cause it had a big miss to it well enjoy http://meadville.craigslist.org/ctd/3235279652.html

I don't get the newfound cav fascination all the sudden, but here's a nice blue 92 Z24 conv for a dime.

I think the cav's last good year was 87 for body style, for coupes, the hatch could die in a fire for all i care. Ironically my 86 coupe did die in a fire.

I want a cav real bad. Even drove down to Kansas for one but they said it ran and drove but got down there and the damn thing wouldn't stay running. Everyone I find around here for $1k and that year are rusted out or are beyond repair. I'd trade my jimmy straight across for that green one.

It was a beautiful car. 89 2.8 5speed 130k miles almost no rust about as much as my beretta. Interior was clean had a pop up sunroof. Lady said it ran and drove but I got down there and it was at a small car lot. Pulled up and no one was there and the car was in the back covered in grass taller than the car. Lady came about 30 mins later. We get the car open and put a battery in it. Takes a min to start let it warm up drive it around, had a few issues but no biggie, take it back they wanted $1100. I said all I have is $900 they said ok but you can't have the brand new battery I said ok. They put an older battery in. Cranked and cranked then had to jump it still nothing. Put new battery back in and cranked and cranked. We were there for about 3 hours finally I said I want my money back and left....

Man does that suck. Odd that it wouldn't start up again. That is a small, but strange town as I'm sure you know.

Crazy that it would just go out then and not before the drive. You have a PM on Q4.
