moving the steering column boot?

is there a way to get that boot under the dash on the column totally or near totally out of the way. i have the winter squeak going on down there and cant get far enough in there to lube everything. of course you can push down but is there a way to pull it up away from the fire wall to get further back. the straws on the aerosol cans(used silicone last time) dont quite cut it. plan on using lithium grease this time, since it should last longer.

It's inserted in through the engine bay side so no, all you can do is move it down unless your steering rack is out.
