Coolant disappearing?
In winter the condensation could be normal if the car is used for mainly short trips. It is difficult for the engine to get warm enough to get all the moisture out. In VERY cold temps it is difficult to get warm enough even on long trips.

Definately no mayo looking under the oil filler cap. I checked that. Also, no smell of coolant when the heater is on either.

Rex, I thought so too the winter I replaced my LIM gasket. I was hoping it was normal. But I tore it down because it was leaking oil and actuall had a vacuum leak from the gasket going. Sure enough it was dumping inside. Every winter since then with a good LIM gasket the cap does not get any condensation. I think if you have thick maynoiase that's a bit more then just condensation. I mean mine was covered and thick.
niter: Ok. It's not leaking out from a bad freeze plug is it? usualy you'd see it drip on the ground or burn on the exhaust if that's the case. Check the freeze plugs to see if they are leaking.. Radiator doesn't have a crack? coolant not leaking/coming out of the resevior tank.. uhm.. head gasket burning coolant? I'm about out of ideas...

I'm going to be bringing it in to have it checked. I know I have a vacuum leak somewhre, because once and a while when I start the car you can hear a big suck sound and the car runs like crap, then it will idle out ok. There is that issue too, so when I bring it in, I will have both things inspected.

niter, let us know what they found out. BTW, does having that solid grill on the front cause the car to run hotter in summer? I have one and wondered about that because I don't have the extra ducting that goes along with it around the radiator that Z26/GTZ's have. Maybe I should slap it on...

I don't think so.
I was talking to the guy that said he would throw it on the scanner. I explained my problem breifly and he said it may be the IR? If I heard him right. Let me know if you guys know what that stands for. (something arm ??)
Oh just to give an idea how slow my car is moving. A Geo primsim LS can keep up with my car. This is another reason I'm putting it on the scanner. See if I got some blown gaskets, a simple vacuum leak. Like what. Sounds like an intake gasket, but I checked everything. :s
Specs on the GEO
. A 115-horsepower 1.8-liter engine was available in the LSi edition - Car has no mods at all. All stock.
