1992 Beretta 3.1 Shuts off

Post by felixGTU »

Today my 92 Beretta did not want to stay running. So when the Beretta is cold it will start normal and run normal but, when I turn off the car and try to turn it back on it will just crank and not start. The only way it stays on is if I give it gas. If i give it gas the car does not sputter it will just not stay on. It is not the transmission because it shifts good. When it shuts down I just put my foot on the gas put it in Drive and it will shift but as soon as I remove my foot from the gas pedal it turns off. Any suggestions on what could be causing this. Any help is appreciated.

I'm sure this is way off, but clean your idle air port out.
