if you carefully wetsand the clearcoat you may be able to respray a clear on top sometimes old paint and new will bubble with each other. I ended up taking mine down to metal building up primer sanding and respraying color. The roof isnt too bad to redo just be sure to remove all the window trim as it can be reinstalled at a glass shop for very little money

I don't know if it really matters I'm sure if you prep the area you could re-clear the whole roof with whatever you get. Most paint shops use all different types because they like working with certain ones OR because something is cheaper and they can make more money.

Also make sure the damage isn't deeper than just pealing clear coat. It would be a shame to waste the time cleaning and painting to just see it go sour again.

Well I prefer ppg clear but you can use others but no one will back them if something goes wrong, I'd spray it with dc3000 ppg deltron good clear fast drying wet sands and buffs great can go wrong but if you want super fast I think they just came out with dc2000 that stuff I think you can buff in 30 minutes you would have to get a p sheet to be sure but either or they are pretty cheap for a quart of it like 50-60 a quart plus hardener
