1987 Chevrolet K5 - $3500 OBO - 17870
1987 Chevrolet K5 - $3500 OBO - 17870
Some info on it;
305 TBI
Has AC, which does not work at the moment
700r4 (rebuilt around 60k miles ago with shift kit)
4WD
Locking Hubs
33x12.50 Chapparel AP's in new condition
Removeable top
Needs the drivers side rocker panel put on ([outer? looks pretty nice when you open the doors]have it, may do it myself)
Could use some minor body work.
Currently has a bench seat, but still have the original grey bucket seats and console in nice shape which will go with it.
Needs inspected.
Needs the heater core box glued back together due to a botched heatercore repair done awhile ago, heat works but you cannot direct it if i remember right, easy fix.
I would like $3500 OBO if anyone on here would like to buy it. I may be willing to work on the price within reason.

As you can see, there is some rust on the tailgate, and some bubbling/slight rust around the wheel lips (specifically the passanger side front)
Is a sharp looking K5, not hicked out (no offence to those who do own/like that look) And looks nicer than most in this price range. Also has a brand new battery, just bought it today.
I think I have all the for sale rules covered, if I don't let me know and I'll update ASAP.
I will update with better pics then, I just cannot move it until I get a new throttle clip, because we borrowed it for the GTU a lil while back because it fell off the Beretta when we were doing work on it. I'll probably get the clip tomorrow then take some new pics, including interior pics.

The rust on your truck is typical of the rust seen on these trucks. They may incredible winter beasts and unfortunately were given simple one stage paint and uncoated, thin gauge sheetmetal.
They are worth the faults though, but tend to be a some work to get them back to full metal shape.

Yeah, it is a total beast in the winter. It really isn't that rusty at all, and the floor was replaced where it was rusty a few years ago, so I would imagine it wouldn't take much, if anything, to pass an inspection. It towed my LeMans Sport home on a open trailer!
And it still looks nice. Hope my asking price isn't outrageous! lol
That thing SUCKS ASS to wax though!
