Its called the woods son... There are places in the UP where things can happen and no one would never know about it. Or so I hear. lol

Sad truth is, I learned most of my gun stuff back when I lived in Ohio... :P
I wore out my pellet rifle picking off starlings and sparrows. And I picked off a LOT of them. Up here its mostly the red squirrels, they tear up houses, get in your eaves, etc... Sad part is, you shoot one, two come back. Shoot those, you get like 5 more.... I think in one month this year between me and my brother we picked off over 20 of them. And they STILL keep coming... You would think the word would spread or something. I know of a guy IN TOWN that shot over a 100 of them in one year.... And they are still thicker than thieves there... Yeah squirrels are like mice... Breeding happy... LOL

Nice thing is this year? I have YET to miss a single squirrel, always been one shot and kerplunk. Love this new .22.... :P

Reminds me of 2 years back or so. Tried to shoot this one squirrel, kept missing! There he was up in the tree, laughing at me. Brought out the 12 gauge with bird shot. He don't laugh no more.

My dachshund Frank takes care of the squirrels. She'll rip apart anything furry.

I've been on a gun kick lately. Right now all I've got is an old bolt action 22 that I got from my dad, who I believe got it from his dad or grandpa.

Lately though I've shot 380, and 9mm pistol. And I'm supposed to do some shooting with a buddy who has a 45, and some other goodies. The 380 was a high point, and kind of a piece. I think it only cleanly fired 45 out of the 50 rounds we put through it one morning.

I'd like to pick up a hand gun, but my budget just doesn't fit anything that I'd want to spend the money on. I'd rather do it once for $5-600 and have a gun I'll never need to worry about, than spend $2-300 and have a mediocre unit.
