Trans Question...
I had a hard time putting in the filter when I did the trans service about 4-5K miles ago. When I took the pan down yesterday and took off the filter to replace it, the pipe broke on it's way out. Quite possible that the pipe cracked a little when I put it in and over time caused enough of a leak to starve the trans of fluid then making the noise. Especially when turning left because the pickup is twards the left side of the trans and the fluid would slosh to the right of the car.
I removed the vac line from the modulator to default it to the highest pressure and I heard nothing out of normal. Either way I drove it 20 miles yesterday and it sounded pretty good. Drove it about 10 miles today and it sounds even better, so I'm satisfied that this was the fix.
For shits and giggles I also took apart the filter to see if it failed or there was something wrong with it and there was not. For anyone interested in seeing what the inside of a trans filter looks like......

Trans Question...
So, I have to ask! Are you going to keep it now? I think of the car as you. I don't have to look for a name on a post, just the sig and I know it's you. I would just hate to see it go!

The car is staying. I dont have the money to get something else and I know this car in a out(for the most part). I have to fix a couple small things and she'll be all good.
A little update on the noise....... none!! Havent heard the noise since. Now I need the torque strut mount, struts, and an alignment, and I'd feel safe driving it longer diastances than I usually do.

Great man, that is so go to hear(on both)! Hey, I have put on some Monroe Plus shocks and struts. They have a good ride and keep the tires on the road better than the high cost Sensa-trac (I've had both on my car).
