New Ride! W-body FTW!
Re: New Ride! W-body FTW!
Are you swapping the Z34 parts? The rear plate holders are nearly impossible to find unbroken. I had one in perfect condition....but in my move it got broken.

And Woody, i have it on there just to please ya. I was gonna take it off till i could get it paint matched, but now i think ima leave it there as it was a pain in the ass to remove and reinstall by myself. The less i have to remove it, the better lol

A homemade front lip would sweet on there too. Got any garden edging hanging out?

Im workin on getting Z34 front and rear bumper covers and then some side skirts from an older Grand Prix sedan. Car will look pretty sharp when its all said and done im sure.
4-door Z34 FTW! Of course, its still only gonna have the 3.1 so, Z34 sedan wanna-be lol

Re: New Ride! W-body FTW!
Personal pref, but I'd rather have the 3.1 than the 3.4 dohc. Easier to work on and easier to swap for a gen 3 engine!

Re: New Ride! W-body FTW!
Which is why im keeping the 3.1. I like the reliability it has
Plus, like you said, makes it easier to swap to a 3x00 if i ever do. Im thinking though, just to keep things simple, when this motor goes, another gen2 60* is going back in.

Re: New Ride! W-body FTW!
looking good, but would look a lot better with a little bit lower profile tire. too much air! maybe the springs from the z34?
4th one's a charm, 5th one is, beginnning to sound like this is an addiction...

Re: New Ride! W-body FTW!
Time for a lil update since i havent done that much to her in the last week or so.
Yesterday i installed a Z34 catback on the car. I just slipped it over the stock piping and clamped it down. Its great that even the factory 2dr dual exhaust will bolt up on this car I also got the Euro cluster installed finally and got all but the coolant temp gauge working. Had the OPSU, speedo, and gas working yesterday, got the tach hooked up earlier today, so just leaves me with the temp sender i have at work to install. Tach wire was actually easier than i thought it was gonna be so that was nice.
I also got the last of the Euro dash trim installed. It looks 1000X better than that ugly wood grain. Im very happy with the ending result. I just have one small area to clean off, and it will be good to go for good. I have an aftermarket deck that im gonna get installed soon as well so i can get some CD's workin in there as well.
I have come to a rather crucial point in the cars overall appearance. I have decided that i will not give it the Z34 look. Instead, im gonna leave the stock body alone and just install the Euro fender trim peices and call it a day. Its getting too close to the time when junior will be here, and i dont want to mess with it after hes born. So only thing left im going to do is, get a grey back seat, better condition carpet and a floor shift steering column. In the future but not too terribly soon, im gonna redo the whole exhaust system and have a pair of magnaflows out the back with 2.5" piping leading from the mufflers back to the motor. I have an intake to install, but i will get to that next week. For now, heres the pics
Installed and all but one working

Old catback, yuck!

New hotness I just need to shine the tips up, will get that done next weekend.

Aside from getting the hood done and a full inside and out cleaning, shes nearing the end of what i have planned for her
And for the record as i know some of you may agree, but i will not be dropping the car any. Its so much easier to get in and out of, specially for my wife right now, that its gonna stay stock height. I like the smooth quiet ride is provides
