I will sometime tomorrow of the 3 SPD auto with TCC because I have that broken one, no fluid and easy access. I will take a photo without the filter.
But I can not with my 96, I do not have a fluid or filter ready, I'm not setup to drop the pan on that one yet. My 96 is the one I put the CS144 alternator on, I posted a thread with what I did. (if your interested). I feel like I accomplished something with that. :P

Side of a 4t60e where the valve body and solenoids are located.

You can see the bottom in this photo with the accumulator pistons and such, filter removed.

That's a little inconvenient. On my 4L60E the shift solenoids, 3-2 solenoids and pressure control was all accessible from the bottom by just removing the pan & filter.

Yeah I know tell me about it. The only convenient thing about this trans is you can swap in a diff rather easily so if you wanted to go from a welded solid one to a open one you could.

The only thing you can do from the bottom really is shim the accumulators which will help with shift firmness and shift time so its not all bad.

Sorry, I should have said pics of the 3T40/125c. But you did save me some time. I would have had to go out and take apart my old 4T60e.
Yeah your the king of the 4T60e. It's just the 3T40 is driving me nuts on those boxes or whatever they are called. I remember that I paid a shop like 350 bucks to have two changed. I looked it up at a parts store(just after I got it back) and I could have got them for $125 each and done it myself. I checked this Monday and they are no longer listed and I can't find the bill from the shop(I have all the others). I changed the fluid and filter on that car every 6k. At times that was twice a year and now that I think about it I had the 90GT for over ten years(I put 100k on it).
Could be a 3T40e LOL!

Thanks. Well my mind is gone for sure then. I have had a THM250,350(two of them) and 700r4(1983) before the 3T40. None of those would have anything like what I was talking about. Sucks to lose ones mind. Well it runs in the family.
