my z26 got totalled... got a great deal on a gt

My z got fatally totalled... i wanted to cry.... but then i found a 91gt 5spd for.....675!!!! Body is perfect, been reprinted and everything works. Of course the dash is cracked and bubbled. Has a little mis to it, shouldn't be hard to fix. Needs a different muffler, too quite lol. One thing in wondering is what does the inft rest light mean? And what's this thing worth to the right person? Also what's better the z or gt?

Sorry to hear about your z, but good thing you found another beretta! If im right, the infl restraint light might be on because there is a problem with the airbag.

inft rest is inflatable restraint. Means the air bag is not working correctly.

Sometimes that can just mean that the BIG YELLOW connector under the dash might be disconnected or you have a broken wire in the loom somewhere. That's just some wild guesses.

Upon further reading i found out it does mean air bag. Dumb dumb me. It doesn't stay on.just didn't know what it mean. Tell me a little bout your z26 i live in Ohio so i don't see us being able to trade lol. Anyways what's the gt worth? 211111 on it. Fresh paint im loving the 5spd. If i wasn't using my phone id post pics

If the light just blinks and/or stays on for a few seconds when starting then it should be normal, just means the system is testing to make sure the airbag system is all good.

Also, how bad is your totaled Z? got any pics?

Front end is smashed. Buckled floor board and twisted frame. I can't do pics in using my phone sorry. Anyways on a one to ten how good of a deal did i get?

Lol. I found the original owners manual. Under that was a like new tape of "new features for bereft 1991" looks like its never been played. Yes an audio tape. Whats that worth?

Yes, we all have heard of the tapes, I have one, and a copy of one well. But if you want rid of the one you have, by all means let me know. I will buy it off you.

No, they didn't have color matching interior. And yes, we all know about the tapes. I have one sitting on my coffee table. I think Chris (DTM_Ace) has one or two of them converted to digital and hosted somewhere. (oh look he just posted before me =P)

And I hope the tape said "Beretta" and not "bereft" lol. That would be crappy finding a tape that says that in your new car =P.

Sorry just never heard of them before... im goin to keep it for laugh sakes. So color matching interior is rare so to speak? Everything is blue. Top to bottom and left to right then front to back. Lol ya it says beretta. My phone is ocd about autocorrect... lol

No, it's not really rare, it's just an option that people chose. It didn't come with an interior specific to the outside color in the way that the GTZ's wheels did. Certain colors may have been limited to certain interior colors, but that would be it.
