Turbo questioN
Turbo questioN
I got a 54 mm Garrett precision t3 turbo. What will I need to upgrade to handle it if it's even possible to mount and hook up?
Thanks for any info!

Re: Turbo questioN
What are the specs on the turbo (compressor wheels, cold side A/R, hot side A/R, etc)?
Anything is possible, just depends on your level of capability.

Stage 3 turbine, 0.63 A/R housing. Does that info help any? I really don't know much about forced induction

Re: Turbo questioN
That's not a terrible match up. You can look at compressor maps for the turbo to see how it would match up with the 3100/3400.
My preferred turbo of choice is a T04E 60 trim with .63 A/R housing. The 54 trim isn't too far behind it.

Re: Turbo questioN
Right. Mine is just the turbo. Will I need to buy any piping or anything to hook it up?

Re: Turbo questioN
You need piping, custom exhaust manifolds, custom exhaust or at least downpipe, intercooler, wastegate (unless yours is internal), blow off valve, a bunch of couplers, you need to tap you oil pan for oil return, get sandwich plate for oil filter, TUNE (either your stock ecu with DHP hardwre/software or a standalone system like megasquirt), then once its running you will want to build the transmission to hold the power, or swap to a 5-speed.
Not an easy job but worth it. Unfortunately getting a turbo is the easy part and is useless without a ton of other things.

Re: Turbo questioN
Custom custom custom... Nothing "hooks" up to a Beretta... other than maybe a light bulb. These are a no aftermarket setup so you have to make everything work unfortunately. But as Geoff said, Anything is possible if your capable.
Re: Turbo questioN
If its possible I'm capable. I have very high plans for this car.
