Re: headlight conversion
ebay, or craigslist/kijiji, local wreckers. BMW E36 projector headlight housings. they require a little bit of ingenuity for mounting as the chevy is not Bavarian. do a search on here, a few have posted even photos fairly recently.
4th one's a charm, 5th one is, beginnning to sound like this is an addiction...

Re: headlight conversion
I was looking into this as well, but all that work to fit a headlight in...that doesn't fit our front end slant properly.
So taking a cue from 3X00, I'm gonna clean up the stock lenses and maybe do a projector retrofit into the housings.

They fit our front end slant perfectly (if you like them pointing towards the sky, lol). They could fit a bit better, but I really like mine. Might also do a retrofit someday, except with a clear lens and blacked out housings.

Note: snowblindburd has never had Euro's on his car. Those are E36's. lolMoney pit Beretta wrote:^ ^Note: Euro's are show in his sig, not E36.

I removed the original adjusters from mine and got plenty of more travel to aim them downsnowblindburd wrote:They fit our front end slant perfectly (if you like them pointing towards the sky, lol)

Re: headlight conversion
If you projector retrofit the stock housings you need to find a way to shave the lines off the inside of the lens. If you don't you're just going to get this really equal, focused beam that gets obliterated back to shittiness. Someone did projector retro into stock housings without getting rid of those lines and got the same lousy pattern but wouldn't admit to it because he was og tyte, yo.Koots wrote:I was looking into this as well, but all that work to fit a headlight in...that doesn't fit our front end slant properly.

*Quality* e36 projector headlights are best because you can angle the headlight so it goes with the lines of the front end and then crank the projector all the way down so your beam pattern isn't lighting up the undersides of airplanes.

Indeed good sir!, I was already aware of this, but there's no harm in reiterating things on the internet.
I've got a spare set in my shop that I plan on doing all this stuff too. Funny thing is that I took them off of a Corsica at the local dump for no reason at all. It wasn't until 2 years later that I randomly bought a Corsica. I had no intentions of ever doing so, so it's kinda funny that I just happened to grab these spares and the bulb harnesses /
Re: headlight conversion
Someone doing things the proper way? UNPOSSIBLE!
Are you going to stick to drop-ins like Morimoto H1's or do your own set?

Re: headlight conversion
I was gonna try and wait for a good deal on a nice set from a higher end luxury car or just go with the standard TSX projectors...lots of options!lolwut wrote:Someone doing things the proper way? UNPOSSIBLE!

I was also looking to do this with my K5 Blazer, as it's got crappy Ebay projectors and HID's but I bought them because they were cheap and I won't mean if I cut it up.

Re: headlight conversion
I know nothing about projector headlights. I'd like to, but I work too much to research right now.
