Plastic Repair
I bought a INDY GFX kit from the local Junkyard recently. the front airdam and one of the side skirts have tears in the plastic and I wanted to know what the best way is to repair them. I'm going to repaint them, so the smoother the repair the better.

I used Plastic-Weld from Permatex to fix the split in the GTZ's front bumper. Available just about everywhere. It's easy to use, can sand and mould it to anything and it's cheap.

Cool, thanks for the info!
now about painting the plastic, what must be done to keep the paint flexible after it is cured? My bumpers that I painted before got little cracks in places where they flexed, I'm no body man so any help would be great!

There is a flex additave that you would have to put in the pain when you reduce it so it makes the paint flexable enough not to crack.

Plastic Repair
I'm an Evercoat whore, so I recommend their Maxim line of plastic repair products. Follow their direction.
Then sand down the whole piece starting with 220 grit, working to 400 until it's smooth. Then spray Bulldog adhesion promotor followed by a flexible primer. Sand that with 600 grit until you can't see any sanding scratches. Then spray your paint mixing in a flex additive. Flex is expensive; be prepared for that. Then spray a urethane clearcoat. Wetsand, buff, and you're done.
