Want some new struts? What brand springs to buy? How much camber to run? What brake pads? What's the best setup for your situation....

I'm curious of what should be changed to add a more direct feel to the my car, I know that it is possible to change the setup for better performance. does anyone know what to change and how much? I have access to a alignment machine, so it's only a matter of time, not money.

since you have an 88 you have the Z51 bar right?
Eibach springs, koni struts and shocks, GMPP STB, internal FE3 rear sway bar, -.5 up too 1 degree of camber in front, 0 toe.  You will wear the inside of the tires more up front with this setup unless you corner hard often and do little highway driving.  Camber is what brings these cars to life.  Some HP tires will do wonders also.  Falken Azenis 615 is the best non track tire you can get.  They wont last the longest though.

alright cool. I have a FE7 front bar, poly bushings,  Z-51 and FE7 rear bars, GM strut brace, rear shock tower brace, going to get some springs soon, looking at the canuk MS ones, I have KYB all around. I have the 15" crosslace wheels, but am going to get some skins for my 16" Indy wheels soon or sell them and get some after market one since I want to put on some big brakes in the front. since its more of a street car Ill mess with the camber a little less than you said, set the toe to 0. what about caster? I know thats not regularly adjusted on our cars but can be if you slot the strut holes? thanks for the help!

I would set the camber at -.4 or -.5 if its a street car.  Caster has very little effect on handling.  More just makes the steering wheel come back faster, less is the opposite.  Do not get canuk for handling, they lower it too much and you will bottom out easily when doing hard turns.  Some light aftermarket 16s or 17s with some good rubber will make a huge difference.  The GTU wheels are 22 or 23 lbs a piece.  Light 16s are considered to be under 17 lbs.  Light 17s under 18 lbs.

Hmm, good to know. I know that more caster does increase stability, so I just thought there could be some advantages to adjusting that. probably only in a oval track application though. so like one pound per inch of diameter. I like the GTU/indy wheels, but the problem comes when I want to put on those brakes, my 88 brakes suck. if i'm going to put money into it, i'll be buying better parts. and I'm pretty sure those corvette calipers won't fit inside the GTU wheels.
