how to take taillight cover off of the taillight off my 89 beretta gt got it off the car but can't get it apart off the taillight its self

Use heat. Those are tar sealed by the factory, its called beutal I believe. Hair dryer is one way, in the oven for a few minutes at a low setting will work too. Using something like silicone will prevent future attempts from being successful. You can get new tar stuff at most auto places.

There are a couple of hook tabs, one on top and one on the bottom that you have to release the halves with.
