shock brace?

Post by Money pit Beretta »

Ok, I know a few people have a shock brace here, but I can't remember who has them or who makes them. I just put a Cavy strut tower brace on and would like to have something for the rear. There should be no change, but just in case I have a 95 base.

mrz, different colors for in trunk shock tower brace, at $85.00? there r also sway bars that you could add(if not allready done). a popular one 'addco', and you may want an 'internal rear axle' model. it's about 30 inches long. your car may allready come with 1. check it out.. i have  a spare 1. and a fron strut tower brace from GM. my sig shows the mrz aluminium model.

It's okay.  I might make a few extras if the first one turns out well.

^^^ I'd be up for one.  Do you intend on making them like Weba did?  So that the center bar hoops upwards toward the rear deck to keep trunk space?

Dang, looked like the MRZ one was low enough to clear the 6X9's that I have.

The MRZ Shock bar just goes straight across from shock tower to shock tower.  Most times people have custom made them to "Hoop" up and over closer the the rear deck so that they can still fit a subwoofer box in the trunk.

I feel better now, thanks Bandit. Yea, I still don't know what I'm going to do on a sub(that's another project). Guess I just made it harder.

MRZ make GREEEEEAAAT! products.
If you want a cheap option, hit up the local junkyards and look for the strut brace off of some Caddies. I cant name the models or the years, but I had a strut bar from a Caddy mounted into my trunk at one point and it was better than nothing.
