2.8/3.1 torque plate

I just got a hell of a deal on a brand new torque plate for the 2.8/3.1 V6. If anyone wants to use it in the future I'd be glad to rent it out for cheap. Here's a couple pics:

May I ask what a torque plate is for?

You bolt it to the block to simulate the stress of the head being torqued down during boring/honing for increased accuracy.
