Calendar Suggestions...

Went out and took some photos today, got a lot of interior shots as well as some engine shots - since Speedy asked about this in the thread. Since I've never been around when you guys did these in the past, I am looking for suggestions as to what photos you like or think would be appropriate. There's one or two that are - for whatever reason - blurry, but if you like that particular photo, let me know and I can retake it without the blur. (These are interior shots)

Anyway - here we go - I found this church with this bell and thought it might make for a nice backdrop, however, my reflection is in the car... if this is a photo that you guys/girls think is good, I can always go back and get one without me in it... GRRRR...

Anyway, just looking for some ideas if you feel like sharing anything. I found several great places to get some photos, but too much traffic made it impossible to stop. Know that I appreciate any comments/suggestions...

You just need more light. Oh man there is even a dumster in that one. I know of an old Chevy dealer building down the street from where we met last. It even has the bowties on the front of it. The problem is getting a shot without other cars passing by.

Thanks, Mitch! Today was more or less a test run. Since Speedy suggested interior and engine shots, that's what I focused on most. And the places I found that would be PERFECT just had too much traffic. Maybe we'll have to hook up again and you can help me out on what would be the perfect backdrop, etc...

My only suggestion would be to turn the wheels the other way in that last photo. Try to get fancy with camera angles, and get really low or really high. Also, don't be afraid to put the car in an unusual spot. For example, that first photo of the car itself in the parking space. It would be cool if it were in the middle of that little road behind the car, at a nice angle or something, to show off that beutiful colored background. Car looks amazing by the way!

Thanks Mixer and 2.2, I appreciate your comments. Raining and cold as crap today, but Sunday is supposed to be sunny and 70, so hopefully I can find some good places and get some interesting photos. And my apologies to the board for the overly huge photos, I thought the site would shrink them and people would have to click on them to see their full size. You learn something new every day. Won't happen again!

Another one for consideration... I just love how the sun is reflecting off the front of the car in this one...

That last one is nice with the sun glare on the fender. It would be perfect if the car was centered and the rear bumper wasn't cut out. These photos get cropped for the calendar too I think, so it's best to leave a little space on each side of the car in the photo for cropping. Take your time with the pics, study the screen of your camera carefully before snapping the pic. A well centered car is money! Constructive criticism here, please do not take offense to this. Just trying to help. This car is just too nice to not be in the calendar, just need the right shot. Remember, we all vote on these so we will all take points off for things like that.
