Flex Fuel Conversion
I heard you can convert some cars into a flex fuel. Is there any truth to this? If so anyone here ever done it?

You could do it. It requires about 40% more fuel if i remember right. In most cases it costs MORE to run E85 versus regular gas (E10).

You'll need to convert to stainless steel lines, ethanol approved rubber seals/hoses/pump/injectors (proper size too) etc, ethanol ready plastic tank or stainless if you want to go all out... Then tune for it. I would suggest using a Multi-Program driver selectable Thumb wheel chip to allow the use of performance, economy, regular fuel, E85, 100% ethanol or even VP/race fuel. I think you can have upto 8 selections at a touch of a finger. Expect to spend more than what your car is worth to convert it all over and to have it somewhat properly done.

Ditto that! My 3.8 is 8.5 compression [90% sure] IT RUNS SICK ON 20proof gas they sell out there. Remember the chicago drag race? yes, my tach went backwards blipping down the track.

Ok, you dont need stainless lines.
If you research what is done to change over cars (OEMs) for E85 there isnt much. Nothing to do with lines, seals, pumps, injectors. Most is programming and SG sensor.
Only certain turbo cars actually have the ability and programming to make more power and get close to the same fuel economy with E85.
E10 is what was in wisconsin andy, not E20
E85 requires 30% more fuel.
You can buy an injector modifier which increases the PW for it.
100% ethanol isnt available or legal.
Most PFI cars run perfectly fine on E40 and I run E20 in everything other than the beretta which should be running on E85 but I had the fuel injectors laying there and they were too small for anything over E10.
