Going down the highway, car started over heating real bad. I pulled it over and there was radiator fluid pouring out the bottom of the car. Looking around to find where it was coming from, i found the leak, but i do not understand what it is.
It is coming out of the firewall out of a fitting in an elbow shape that is pointing straight down. I looked around thinking a hose or something popped off, but there is nothing around. When i put new fluid in, it just drains out of there like a faucet got turned on.
The only thing i could think of that is near there is the heater core, but i dont understand why there would be an elbow just draining all my fluid.
any help?

radiator fluid leaking help
That's a typical heater core failure. The hose cracks on the core and all the coolant pours out and runs through that drain tube.
