blinker going crazy

Post by 6r8ph1X »

well ever since i got my retta a while ago, my blinker blinks at an accelerated rate. All of my bulbs work fine and my fuse i think is ok too. Whats up? I mean it doesn't bother me, but i was just wondering what causes it. Oh ya, sometimes it blinks normal speed but that is very rarely.

Hey man, how are you? Well if the bulbs are for sure ok then I'd say the flasher may be going out. It should work for some time and then just quit working one day.

Thanks for the back up 1988GTU. We have all had to deal with that at one time or another.

hey guys, not much happenin actually keep reading to see what happened to me recently. Ok, i guess i will recheck my lights and stuff but if not, i'll just wait till something goes out. so yesterday, i went outside to go to school, and my doors were frozen shut, oc course this happens alot to me. Well i finally got it open after longer than normal, and i started my car up to warm her up while i got the ice off. No I don't know how it locked itself, but somehow, i went to slam my door to get the ice off and i pulled the handel and thought F**K!!!!! that was my only set of keys!!!!!!!! well dam, i locked my keys in my car while it was running. Now, my friens who is a mechanic told me that if i stuck a really small screwdriver into my trunk lock, that i can turn a small metal square in the back of the lock to pop open the trunk. I failed at that and messed up my trunk lock in the process. Now i can't unlock my trunk except thankfully i got z26 seats installed and i can climb in through the inside. Well, we pryed open the door some with a piece of wood and used a coat hanger to push the unlock button (Hard as F**K to do) and got it open. I now have 3 extra sets of keys to my car stashed at my house and in my wallet. I knew i should have done that earlier.  And that was my ranting winter story. I HATE WINTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just before the loss my passenger door wouldn't shut (think I've already done a post on this) then after some work it did stay shut, but wouldn't unlock. It got warm and everthing was ok(put some Slick 50 One Lube in the lock and made plans to lube the rods later). That's just what I went through. Hope you didn't hurt the weatherstrip.

6r8ph1X, i have run into the same problem with my doors in the winter, what happened to me that i think might have happened to you too was that you unlocked your door enough to open it, but not 100% and when you shut it, it kinda got stuck a bit, thats what happened to me at least, but what i would do is after you unlock it before you shut it, manualy make sure it is fully unlocked. and i thought your blinker problem is funny because my blinker does the exact opposite, it just doesnt blink sometimes, it just stays on, hahaha
