FS: '93, 2.2l, Automatic. $400, Wisconsin

Location: Soldiers Grove, WI 54655
VIN: 1g1Lv1348py257804
Pick-up only.

I'm throwing in the towel on my beretta. I'd love for it to go to someone on beretta.net who would appreciate it. If no one wants it, I'm going to drive it to the junkyard before my registration expires mid-december, so I need to sell it by then.

My repair attempts are documented here: http://www.beretta.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=14330
The text below is from my craigslist posting (http://lacrosse.craigslist.org/cto/4195742346.html):

For sale, a 1993 Chevrolet Beretta. 2.2l, 4 cyl, automatic transmission. $400 obo. I've made an effort to accurately reflect the condition of this car, but I'm selling it as-is. This is a car for someone who can fix it or use it for parts. Must sell by December 5th.

This car starts well, but has very little power until it is warmed up (takes about 2 minutes feathering the accelerator). Once it warms up it has decent acceleration, but still bogs down at times. I suspect the ECU/PCM is faulty and stuck in "limp-home" mode, but I am sick of working on this car.

See below for the full list..

The good:
Starts well
Low miles
Recently installed new TPS, O2, IAT sensors
Recently installed new fuel pump
Recently cleaned intake manifold
Strong battery (6/12)
Alternator, spark plugs, spark plug wires, air filter, fuel filter all replaced within last two years
Regular oil changes
Spent first 15 years in St Louis

The bad:
Little or no power at startup
Runs poorly
Interior upholstery is in shambles
Chronic stalling at stops (not an issue since fuel pump installation)
Grinding/rattling sound while driving (I suspect engine mounts, though they look okay)
Noisy right front shock when making tight turns on an incline.
ECU displays the following DTC codes, despite replacing several of the offending sensors: 42, 33, 32, 24, 23, 21, 14, 13. Codes reappear immediately after being cleared.
When I replaced the fuel pump I could not find a wiring harness to go from the pump to the car body, so I made one myself. If I were to keep this car I would replace that with an OEM harness.
Muffler (replaced within last two years) is wired on.

had a similar problem, and it turned out to be the ecm(check if your IACV is really working, as in test it outside), too bad you're giving up on your retta :(

i had a thousand errors even a high voltage one when my ecm was bad, replaced it, and no more DTC's

just my 0.02 :)
