What you need is a 3100. They were used in Berettas from '93 to '96
Different engine from the earlier 2.8/3.1 series.
The most popular swap is to look for a 3400 from an Grand Am/Alero/Mini Van etc.
Better engine. Pretty well a bolt in on your car.
Depends what you want from you car, but the 3400 swap is way better.

The 3100 engine's are in 94-96 Berettas and the 3.1 in 90-93
