found this on aol, they say you can go longer than 3 months/3000 miles between oil changes and some other cool stuff.

I know most manufacturers go longer than 3000 miles now, but I'd rather spend a few more bucks and just do it every 3000 to be safe.

With Mobil 1 synthetic you could go 10,000 before changing oil if you wanted to.

I go 10k on my grand prix. but the ta  gets it every 3k and the beretta every 1k before it went down. the gtz wil get it every 3k all mobil one except the 3.8sc beretta it gets royal purple

As long as I'm using conventional oil of any type, I'll never go over 2k, much less 3.  It breaks down over time and heat, no way around it.  A brand new motor with a great filter and conventional oil can lose a quart in 3k without leaking a drop.  It just breaks down after a while.
