Bfest 2009 update!
Hey everyone,
As everyone knows, a lot will be happening around the website in the very near future. The Bfest committee is, and will continue to work hard to bring our members the best event possible in Charlotte in June. I would just like to update everyone to what we are doing:
-first off, after careful consideration and discussion within the committee, we have all decided that we will need to increase the registration fees for car/driver to $25. We will be keeping passenger fees at last year's rate. This decision was made because of the rising costs that we have been seeing, which has further depleted our reserve account. This adjustment should make our event more sustainable from year to year.
-we have secured our hotel, with great amenities (like a fridge in every room), and a competitive price (around $80/night IIRC- I can post back specifics later or let Geoff pipe in)
-we are working to update our registration site, and get it online ASAP. Look for registration to open soon- within the next 2-3 weeks.
-we are currently looking at park options- more info to come!
-look for more updates in the future! We are going to hold off on updating the website/page until it has its new home. At that time we will look to update it with current information, or it will be updated in full with the entire website. Please stay posted as this will be an evolving transition.
Thanks for all of the support, and we will keep everyone updated no matter the medium: website, MB's, or email list!

Bfest 2009 update!
Basic hotel info:
The rooms we can reserve are double bed rooms (queens IIRC). The have mini-fridges and microwaves included, as well as a little desk type area. There is a couch that pulls out to a queen size bed as well. Also included in that price is a hot breakfast buffet.
Price per night: $79 plus taxes/fees.

Re: Bfest 2009 update!
I just wanted to status with everyone here as we are creeping closer to April...
Will has been working to bring our new registration site online in addition to all of the Bnet work currently going on. We should be looking to get registration open sometime by the start of April. Continue to stay posted here for further updates as the construction zone marches on!
