Ok, well let me try this again,(thought i had it fixed today but nooo.......) k well about a month ago or so my car was running awesome, came home like 2-3 in the morning not a problem whatsoever, come morning had to go to school, car wouldn't start, no warning anything was wrong with it!! anyways towed it down to my garage, it had no spark, so i put in a new CPS sensor and away it fired, however now its running extremly rough on the idle, once i get it up too about oh 1800 - 2000rpm it seems to smooth out a bit, still a lack of power!!( found this as i drove around our parking lot! ) so i figured because it was running really rich I'd try the O2 sensor, fired it up right after i put it in since i had the computer dissconnected it cleared the memory so i let it run for about 5 min or so seemed to smooth out quite a bit, seemed to be running rather good actually! so i paked everything up went to leave and i was out of gas, so i went and got some gas came back, fired it up sounded alright till i stuck it in reverse and my idle was all over the place droping to 550-600rpm and such, and terribly rough. I checked the plugs and the gap, plugs were extremly black( thats how i figered it was running rich! i don't even know where to start anymore!! thanks for any help u can offer!! peace

Ok i'm not sure i'm thinking it might be a shotty coil! I don't know though, because its got a a little bit of a mis on the idle but nothing serious, well that is untill you put it under load!! so I'm thinking the coil is giving it just enough juice to fire the plugs but missing in the odd place, and then just droping off the map as soon as I put it under load!! Does anyone know what the risistance across the coil should be!?? and do you have to test it while its running????thanks again!!!
Oh heres a list of what i've done so far:
-replaced the CPS (crank position sensor)
  -replaced the o2 sensor
  -swaped the computer
  -checked the spark(its fine)
  -checked gaps(look good)
-vacuum line pressure test holds steady! (so its not mechanical!)
-had the ignition module tested, I was present during the test and we ran it like 14 times(to let it warm up) it passed everytime!!
  I think thats about it!!

Coils near 5kohms, across each terminal [pair of 2 per ea. coil], and test OFF, if you want to check them when ON, either use a spare spark plug with base grounded [jumper cable works well] and look at the spark, or use a spark testor tool [never done that lol]

plug wires should measure no more than 1kohms per inch [not your problem here, but I hate to see people replace stuff w/out testing]

check wires on that 2-wire sheilded harness that connects CPS w/ign. module.

I've heard the TPS wires leading away from the sensor [10" or so] may fail a wiggle check, which reminds me.

if the car can stay running on its own, let it run, and wiggle check all the pressure points: cps connection, tps, iac, ign module [use a wood stick and remove coolant fan helps] and hopefully you'll find it.
