this problem i have is getting really annoying. i am not getting an ses light or anything so i cant really get any trouble codes. im still having problems with this thing cutting out and bogging down on me. it will do it out of the blue it will all of a sudden just start cutting out and i wont be able to get the rpms above like 1500 then if i put it in neutral i cant even get to the rev limiter because it starts boggin out at about 3 grand. so far ive put in a new ignition module and it didnt help plus a fuel filter and it didnt help either. the only warning light that is coming on is the abs light and i dont think that would be linked to any of this. i really need to get this figured out so any help would be appreciated. thanks

another thing that i noticed is that it seems like the fuel guage drops a little quicker when this happens. could it be that is is dumping in too much fuel??

Do you smell fuel?
If so, where about?
Check fuel lines for leaks. Also, check the fuel vacuum line for a rusty leak. That could be your issue.

I think the 5/16" line that run next to the smaller size fuel line is the vacuum line. It should have a rubber flex hose on both lines.
Driverside, near brake lines.

ok ive got some new information on this topic. i am now thinking this problem is not fuel related. the reason that i say this is that there is no visble leaks that i could find and also ive hooked up a fuel pressure guage tonight and got it to act up and do its little thing. the fuel pressure never drops below 35 psi. it still seems like it is misfiring at times. so i guess now it is probable either the ignition or the injectors possibly. does anyone have any ideas now?

Your coils might be bad. I didn't read if if you replaced them.
Warm up the car, then spray a mist of water on the coil area and hurry up and put it in gear and take it for a short ride. If it acts up, then it could be coils.

ok tonight i tried to put a whole differnt ignition module and coils on it off of a lumina at my buddies shop. that car ran perfect but someone didnt want to mess around with a blown head gasket so they got the car then. so i know that whole coil and ignition module assebly is good. put that on there went n got her warmed up like usual and ran fine then shut it off for about 3 min and tried to drive it again and it did the same thing. we hooked the scanner up to it and it wouldnt communicate with it because i think i have some pins missing in the diagnostic port. there is only 2. also tried a diffrent map sensor and that didnt help. so so far what i know isnt the cause is 1.coils 2.ignition module 3.map sensor 4.fuel pump. another thing they thought it could possibly be is a crank sensor going bad. what are the symptoms of a bad crank sensor? else i guess i might just have to buy a new ecm and see if that is what the problem is.

i asked because on my 94 3100 it isn't possible for autozone or advance auto parts to get a dignostic read from my ecm---I don't know if it's true on all 94 3100 berettas or not-but for some reason chevy put a diagnostic port on it that neither the obd-1 nor the obd-2 scan tool will hook up to it and read the codes.I have to go to the dealer or a shop that has the correct computerized equipment to have a code read.Mine has obd 1 but the hook-up is incompatable with the obd1 scan tool. -----------the
-----I think the crank sensor can cause that problem but so many things can ,it's hard to nail it down by guess work:bananabut like you said earlier -it isn't throwing a light anyway.

Certain year Beretta (94-95) have what some people (Like Me) call it OBD1.5 (It's the beginning of OBD2, ending of OBD1) . You need a "special" code reader to get code info on your car. I would like to think the CS is the problem, but I think someone on here once said a bad oil sending unit will cause a car to stall/not run.
Goodluck on the find.
