What is wrong?!
A few months ago I got my 1988 Beretta GT (2.8 litre engine) automatic. My dad and I fixed it up, and just recently got the sticker.
We've replaced:
Ignition Module
Crank Position Indicator
Fuel Pump and Filter
Spark Plugs
Brakes
Tires
Exhaust
Wires
And even the Windshield Washer Pump
Now though, I've got another problem. After about 25-35 minutes, the engine will get extremely hot. It will stall when down-shifting (ie: stop signs) and if I'm really lucky, I won't be able to get home because it will stall, then start up fine but die when I shift into gear. What's wrong?! I can't figure it out!

Bad TCC, if you've never touched a transmission, which I assume you haven't, then take it to a tranny shop. It is very easy to screw it up then you'll have bigger problems. It's about a $100 job for a shop.

Its either that or the ECM. My 2.8 GT use to stall out all the time and I thought it was the TCC, but they replaced the ECM and it stopped after that. It lists for $220 but you can get it for $110 on GM Parts Direct if you need it.
