did my car come with a key fob remote?

I bought a 96 Z26 and it came with two non GM keys. Didn't this car come with a key fob remote? I can buy one and program it to this car. I know this procedure is a PITA on my newer Grand Prix, but what about this Beretta? Anyone have those instructions?

Mine came with a GM add-in keyless.

The previous owner didnt' do such a hot job of splicing it or the cruise, and that's one reason why i haven't touched it cause it's a nightmare. Huge rats nest under the dash.

But yeah no problem to install one. I looked up my FCC # and I could even get extra remotes and program them all to it since I only have one.

Go for it.

I'm unaware of berettas comming with keyless entry. I think all that did were add-ons at that dealer. The one usually installed is listed on the forum somewhere. I think the part # starts with VKE.

Google that. That's the style of the one I have. Two button open/close. It's been used on GM', Fords, and I even found a remote that was two button and compatible with my unit that was from a 2001 Mitsubishi Montero! LOL

OK Thanks guys. I think I will just install a Crimeguard 350i% from Crutchfield. That will have door lock functionality and it will only take 1 additional relay to get the trunk to pop with the remote. I believe my insurance will give me a little break with an alarm too.

I also have never heard one of our cars comming with keyless from the factory. There were one or two people that added it after the fact. I know one used the module from a Malibu.
