I wish I had a dollar for every time I heard this question.

Motor, mounts (engine and trans., reweld into place, different mounts), full wiring harness swap (inside and out),ECM, lots of time, lots of effort, skills required,etc,etc....

There shouldn't be any welding required unless you want to change mount styles (87-91 to 92-96) or auto to manual trans (92-96).

What year is the car in question?

If the car is a 92+ then either a 3100 or a 3.1 will just bolt in. Tranny will bolt up too. It's all about the wiring you need to swap to a v6 PCM
