B'Fest Dyno Day?
So now that the dates are set and everyone can breathe again, is there still interest in a Dyno Day.
I'm guessing Thursday might be the most opportune.
Anyone have any thoughts on this? There MUST be a facility we can access in Chicago.

Re: B'Fest Dyno Day?
If we can get a cheap enough group rate I would probably make a pull or two. I'm not really interested in spending much more than $30 a pull though if I do 2, both with a wideband. That's pretty low-ball, but if we can get 10 cars interested like back in 2003, maybe it's possible...
I'm a maybe. Interested - price depending.

Chicago, ok, but what date is Bfest, cant find it in any thread... Shouldn't there be an official announcement thread pinned for 2010?
I might drop 30-40 for a pull. That is about the limit..

Whoever is planning this might check with places like FLP or Speed Inc.

They may not drop down to 30-40 for a "set"... Most of the Groups I've been to have been 75-90 for a set... sometimes 3 pulls. I know that fits your cost if that's what you meant, and didn't mean 30-40 total.IsaacHayes wrote:Chicago, ok, but what date is Bfest, cant find it in any thread... Re: B'Fest Dyno Day?
No I really meant I'd pay 30-40 to dyno my car tops, however many pulls that included.. !! LOL I understand there is a lot of setup time. I would rather drop $20 for a test and tune day at the drag strip. I don't know if my motor will be in a car and finished by BFest or not since it's fairly early in the summer and I have limited time and space to make progress. If I did a dyno I would want to do it when the car I know is buttoned up as much as possible, unless it was cheap (30-40)..

Then dont expect to dyno. I had issues in Charlotte and that's why mine never set foot on the dyno. I had better ways to spend 80 than prove that my car was down a bunch from lifter and timing chain issues. Also the nitrous wasn't working.
Group dyno visits will probably never be that cheap.

Great. Just saw the dates and I doubt I'll make it this year - same weekend as Camaro Nationals again.
However, if for some odd reason I do go to Bfest instead I would definitely be interested in a dyno session.

Re: B'Fest Dyno Day?
Yeah we talked about that on the phone... They f-ed up last year on the dates and that's why you were able to come.
Think of it this way... Would you rather hang out with a bunch of old rednecks with Camaro's? or would you rather hang out with a bunch of guys around your age with POS Beretta's? Also which one of your cars is more complete now... LOL I would say the Beretta since its painted. Poor ole Camaro is still rough around the edges.

There aren't enough bloody Camaro shows every other weekend?
And after doing all that work on your car?

Re: B'Fest Dyno Day?
And think of it this way... a car show with a couple dozen Berettas or over 1000 GMs and 500+ Camaros with a burnout contest, bikini contest and Camp NastyZ. Hell, I could even take the Beretta to GM Nationals and win a big ol' trophy.
Don't worry, I'll be hanging out with my POS Beretta buddies at Albany. But barring any big changes of plans, I won't be at Chicago.

So now I have to wait until August to embarrass you?
How about you go to the Mullet Nationals and send Tif with the Beretta. We like her better anyway! ROFL!
