Passenger side axle GTZ

Post by AsphaltRacer »

I need the shaft the goes into the trans with the carrier bearing on the other end that the cv axle goes into. Parts store couldn't find it in the computer, and I checked all the local junkyards with no luck. Does anyone know if the long single Axle will work or have the part # for the shaft or a spare I can buy? Oh yeah 93 GTZ 2.3 HO

Thanks

Those are getting harder to find from what I've been told, and JY hopping is the only way to get your hands on one IIRC

You can use the long axle but you will end up with the possibility of having some nasty torque steer...

The long axle should work fine from a 2.0/2.2 car. There's a whole bunch of intermediate shafts available if you search on car-part.com though.

Keep in mind the v6 intermediate shaft is different than the quad one.

You can also use one from a quad 5-speed grand am.
