Da Quad is Home!

Post by Asylum »

Pure white with Platinum Pearl.

Holy CRAP. Can't even look at it in the sun.

Couple little things I don't really like with the paint on the hinges and the wire tube in the door, but other than that it's damn near PERFECT!

My eyes are hurtin' LOL

Ya ya ya pictures! I'll see what i can do. :P

Pearl is friken expensive...

I need some paint mixed for a door handle of mine and the paint is Obsidian Black Pearl, it has a green and blue pearl in it and the damn bottles are $100 for 4 oz from PPG... Granted I don't need much but DAMN!

That's why you talk to the guy mixing the paint... In some colors it goes directly in with the paint and I've gotten a little bottle of it from the guy before.

Yeah, Tiffany's white is pearl. Gonna be expensive when it comes time to respray her doors after fixing the deer dents...

I'll get some pics but I'm not sure they will do the stupid thing justice.

Here's what they did.

Absolute "Pure White" House of Color with nothing, no tint, added.

Two coats of that and then a 1/3 color, 1/3 clear and 1/3 Platinum Blue Pearl mix.

Then one coat of clear and pearl.

Then two coats of clear.

It's blinding!

The old bastard is a happy man!

But now it's going to hide in the garage and I'm concentrating on the 3500.

YES! It's a curse having the nicest and quickest Berettas!

:P

All you had to do is show up a B'Fest Niagara.

They were both there!

I didn't make them up!

Weba beat the hell out of my Quad on the road course at B'Fest Niagara.

You missed all of the drama?

It's fine. I'm over it now and there is no harm done. But it was quite an issue for a bit.

First ever 3500 Beretta swap, and one of the nicest Original Quads both live in my garage.

Oh! And Rodney's 3500 turbo intercooled 5-speed '94 California Z26.

We don't mess around up here in the Great White North!

It's the good beer!!!

Well you will have Chicago and/or PA to try!

Quads are nice to look at I suppose. Mine is.

But pushrods rule!

Quads: been there, done that... won't do it again. But I do have a thing for white GTZs.
