Erratic Idle

Post by 2nejunkie »

Code 1651 PSP input switch malfunction on P1665 (EVAP)
Code 1652 IAC disabled by PSP input switch malfunction
Problem: Erratic Idle. After going through the gears, RPM drop out to nothing sometimes it died.
Solutions:
1-Plugged Cat
2-EVAP system
3-IAC Solenoid
4-Power steering pressure switch
5-EGR
6-GROUND/Bad Wire
7-ICM and coils
After replacing ICM, Coils,IAC, PS Pump, PSP Switch, EVAP solenoid including lines and Punching the CAT!
It turns out to be a bad ground wire.
My PCM shoots shift solenoids too, but it also thinks its an automatic.
Final fix was to clean and reattach sensor grounds.

LOL
MpB, Ima kill Cole Muffler!
Here is the new list.
New tires, Tie rods, New Inner tie rod bushings, Wheel bearings, Sway bar bushings and ball joints.
Struts are the INTRAX lowering set I bought from My91GT(Z). Lowered it 1.5 inches. (Strut bearings/tops are bad)
And Cole can't straighten the damn thing enough to ROLL straight let alone pull.
B**tar*s cant adjust Toe and Camber at the same time. The GM @ Cole Muffler offered to let me use the machine to do what I PAID them to do as pros!
Ignorace is Bliss!
So Friday I will be doing the alignment on my OWN car with Cole Muffler Tools and machines!
You get your stuff installed yet? **Pops another Corona Extra***

Talk about BS! Damn that would piss me off! At least they are going to let a real pro do the job. It has taken years to find shops that I trust and now I'm lucky enough to have a friend that is the head man at a local shop. He doesn't do the work anymore, but I'm sure he watches the guys close.

Shoot man I'm dead in the water on my stuff. My GF's car has been giving her trouble and I've done some work on that. I think it's now down to a clogged cat. We had three inchs of water downstairs and I had to buy a new pump. I just haven't had the time to work on my car.

If you can find a good small shop run by someone that builds race cars on the side that would be best. Around here Firestone sucks and I'd never take my car to one. They did a window motor for my GF and knocked the glass off track. Also they didn't put the door panel on all the way. They did fix it after she took it back.
