Un-Official Beretta Concept
Un-Official Beretta Concept
While searching the vast bowels of the internets I stumbled upon this. It seems like someones' rendition or vision on a Beretta redesign.

According to the description I found, the artist said he penned it sometime back in 1990.
The front end could have been less smiley. To me it kinda looks like the design for a 3rd Gen J-body. There are some cues in there from our L-bodies.
I kinda like the side profile, though it looks more similar to a Grand-Am. You can see it better on the blue car.
I think the best part is the rear-end of the white car with the GTU-esque lip spoiler.
The whole design though, does remind me most of the Oldsmobile Achieva SCX, like the one Mike (SGR) had.
Overall, I'm kinda "Meh" on this design but, Keep in mind, this design is over 20 years old and I think is a good starting point on the redesign of our cars. If I ever get the chance, I'll bust out my pencils and see if I can give a redesign. Just for fun.
Discuss. GO!

Re: Un-Official Beretta Concept
Given the first Berettas were built in 1987 I would think the original concept drawings were likely penned sometime in the early to mid 80's. Maybe earlier.
By 1990 it was pretty much a done deal, UNLESS they were seriously contemplating continuing the marque past the mid 90's.

Check this out. Over to the side you can pan down and see a clay mock up.

Eric, I don't think these are official designs. I don't think the artist is affiliated with GM. The surprising thing is that if these drawings are indeed from 1990, this guy predicted the styling direction of future GM products.

Yeah the front looks a lot like a Cav as the rear reminds me of the 90's grand am so it could be done before or it could have been done a couple years ago who knows Agreed I dont like the front thats on it eather would rather have like a Monty front so that it had something more around the same as ours with the large engine compartment of a midsized sedan

That link has a pic of my 95Z! I remember the shot, and you can see the tread of my old Hankook tires.Money pit Beretta wrote:Check this out. Over to the side you can pan down and see a clay mock up.

I knew that it was someones car on here, but I thought I saw it on Bstuff first.
Wow I thought they had ask before they could use a personal photo. I'll check that thread out.

I agree it dose look like the olds a bit, but the rear shot of the white one looks alot like the 95-99 monte carlo z34s and lumina ltz. So yeah, if these were indeed made in 90' he predicted some future styling from GM. Good Find.
