Finally drove it...
Finally drove it...
As some of you may remember, i posted a raspberry 95 Z for sale here back in July...and i just went and drove it today...

Definitely needs some work - mostly cosmetic. Engine was strong, transmission shifted well. Turn signals, park brake don't work. Filler panels and tails are toast. ABS light is on. Absolutely no rust anywhere.
Seriously thinking about getting this!!! They will take $1700 cash for it...what do ya think???

It don't look too bad. What kind of mileage does it have on it? The only thing I don't like is the dash, but I guess thats what happens when it's gettin baked in the Las Vegas sun for 15 years. SenseI don't know the mileage I couldnt tell ya what to offer for it. I'd start at $1500. Good luck with it.

Re: Finally drove it...
The only thing I would worry about is the engine then. With 111k on it that thing has been steamed recently so if there was oil buildup or anything like that before on something that's leaking you wont know until it's to late. If they want 2200 for it they probably only payed 800 so remember that when starting to try to deal with them. With the ABS it's almost always something stupid could just need new shoes. Also if they didn't offer ask them about a Carfax report so atleast you can see if they have had any major engine work done to it recently like replacing the things that should be done up to the mileage is at.

Buy the damn thing! If it's in the $1500 range and you DON'T buy it, I may have to send you some money and plan a road trip.

Looks good - heck looks a whole lot like what Amanda and I have been driving since I let my GTZ be a loaner to my brother for a week or two
If they are willing to come down to that under $2k range - go for it. The small issues are very fixable. 111k is nothing for that machine. I've got 134k on ours and it is very strong (mind you it did just get a head gasket/LIMG/broken spring fixed). I've seen 3100/4T60E's go a long time if cared for. 111k can still be cared for.

Ron, what am I missing in the tails/fillers? They look fine to me?
I'd say if you can get them to $1500, do it. Good luck, looks like a nice car.
