Re: strut bolts.
yea i think you gotta go to the dealer. When i tried they were going to have to order the bolts. they might not even be available anymore. most people just reuse them.

Re: strut bolts.
You need a little more than a few times with the BFH to get them out. They're splined.

Re: strut bolts.
Moog cam bolt kit will replace them... at least will work for one of them.

Re: strut bolts.
I just broke one of these off trying to remove it from the knuckle,
They are hard to get out because they are splined in the knuckle and rust in there,
I had to beat mine out with a sledge causing them to mushroom,
I went to the chevy dealership and they were $13 EACH + SHIPPING,
So i said screw this and went to tractor Supply co and bought Grade 8 bolts that were the same without splines
Idk if anyone else has dont this but i hope they will work.

Re: strut bolts.
When you guys beat on the bolts to get them out, put the nut on the end and thread it down till you have the bolt flush with the top of the nut, maybe the nut a lil higher. It saves the bolts and the nuts can be reused with a thread cleaner
I have done this many of times. Sometimes i have used a torch on my spindle (in the past) to get the bolts out. Just a couple helpful tips.

Thats a good trick that ive used many times, only reason i didnt is because i was rather irritated by the time i got the sledge and the bolts were already really rusted and 2 has broken off..90GTZHO wrote:When you guys beat on the bolts to get them out, put the nut on the end and thread it down till you have the bolt flush with the top of the nut, maybe the nut a lil higher.
