1996 chevy cavalier?

So i just got this 96 cavalier z24 and the check engine light went off on me today ive tryed 3 different scanners all with the same result.. they dont even detect a scanner is hooked up? anyone got any ideas what would throw a code and not let a scanner detect car? it runs absolutly fine so ive got no idea?

Your OBDII connector is not making a connection with the ECM. Likely a wiring issue, possibly an ECM issue. Time to start tracing wires, starting at your diagnostic port.

Make sure the "CIG" fuse (15A) is good or you won't be getting any power.

wow cig lighter fuse... haha when i installed my pioneer avicn1 i blew the radio fuse and dont use the light so i switched them and forgot about it that was 2 weeks ago and the light just now went off? strange but thanks for the help!

got plans for this car headers and full exhaust on its way right now!
