He will never sell it for that price. Plus all the stupid extra stickers he has added.

Yea I see some people on kijiji selling for $4-$5000 and I just shake my head I don't understand why they think they can ask for that much. I almost emailed some of them to tell them to stop being stupid. LOL!

Mark (I think that was his name) or wildman on bstuff wanted $6500 for his Indy, but I think it only had like 20k miles on it. I dunno if he ever sold it since I had all of his contact info on the other site and I don't think he ever comes here.

Mostly you meet friends when traveling by accident, like by sitting next to them on the train, or in a restaurant, or in a holding cell.

People are starting to think these are collectors cars. That Indy is ruined with all those stickers, horribly painted strut towers, floor mats, whatever else they did to it. Its definately not worth what hes asking. Even if it was a 5spd with sunroof, still not worth that much.

I dont even know what to say about that teal one on kijiji....

Just FYI...our Indy was appraised in June of 2009 at the value of $6240.00 from an independent appraiser. Just our $.02

Thats replacement/repair value of an Appraiser, not retail sale value... Those two do not go hand and hand.

These cars are worth whatever people are willing to pay for them... There is a bluebook value on them but thats just a reference. To some they are worth more than what they book at, to others who constantly referee to them as "rust" then no you wont see the same value in it.

Like I love my car but like you said that's just how I feel about it, I know it would be silly to sell it for more than $1500. I would never get it.

Here I just found the blue book for my car. And I'm assuming that that would be the price if the car was mint or almost mint.

Blue Book® Sugg. Retail Value $2,470.00
Blue Book® Private Party Value $1,520.00

I beg to differ That is the value of the Indy not replacement parts. This individual appraises the value of specialty and rare cars.

Beg to differ all you want, he appraises vehicles for what it would cost to REPLACE IT... Not how much you can sell the car for.

Same thing goes for personal Jewelry. My wifes ring is appraised for $5,500. I sure as hell didn't pay that and I wouldn't get that much if I were to sell it.

Research Insurance appraisals a little bit more, they have nothing to do with actual re-sale value.
