Car maybe running a little hot and fan not coming on.
I bought my beretta a month ago and have not really drove it yet since I have another car. the few times I have drove it it seems to run a little hot, above the halfway mark on the temp guage. I noticed teh fans do not come on. I was doing stuff to it last night and had it running in the driveway for about 45 min it got up to temp went about halfway betwean the half mark and red mark. still no fan. This seems kinda high/hot for idling doesnt it? I tested the fan relay its good and I also tested it by using a paper clip to jump the terminals in the data port and it popped on right away when i turned the key. Anyone have any ideas? The coolant level sems to be fine and it looks like new coolant.

You need a new CTS sensor, very common there are 2 sensors, one for your gauge and one for your ECM. The sensor is about $10-$20 fix you right up

Well after half a day of taking crap apart to get to the sensor it's in. Those rubber hoses on the throttle body were a bitch to get off. Them clamps on them are a pain in the ass too! Anyways got in in put everything back together started the car up let it run in the driveway and once the temp guage got to a little over half the fan now kicks on.

Thats why they are called bastard clamps LOL.
My fans never seemed to come on either but figured it was something with my wiring since i swapped the engine, i just hooked a ground to the relay and it runs soon as my key is turned on, since my temp gauge doesnt work if the fan is on all the time i know its not going to get hot
