96 Corsica problems
I have a 96 Corsica with a OBD2 3100 v6 (bone stock besides K&N dropin).
For the longest time my car would chug alot like the motor mounts were shot. i check those they were fine
then after my trip in the UP of Mich, my car wouldn't start. It would crank and crank but not even attempt to start.
I heard ticking sound coming from my fuel pump relay (or a relay closest to the motor on the passenger strut tower).
Bought a new one of those, car worked all weekend get back to work on monday and after work car started to do the same thing.
I couldn't get my car in til today so all weekend I'd randomly go out and try to start my car...nothing. Then finally i get back from eating at Bostons with my sister, her boyfriend, and my fiance. And the car started. Drove it to where it was going to get fixed for i didn't have to pay for towing.
Well the shop(GM center) calls me saying there is nothing wrong with my car it started everytime they tried to start it.
Anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks

Check for high voltage at one of the fuel pump connections. Then do the same for that relay. I would think it's a bad connection when moisture gets near it. Look for the green cancer (corrosion) .

I own a volt meter but i'm not the smartest at using one. I was never really into wiring that much. what setting would i use to check that? (god i feel stupid asking that)

You could have a fuel pump gowing out..  next time when it dont start bang on the tank if the fuel pump starts working  you know that it is it.. the relay will click on an off while the key is on an the engine off just to keep pressure at the rail..
