96 z26 Starter

Would a 99 lumina 3100 starter be the same as the 96 3100 beretta ?? for some reason i think 96/97 are the same or 96/97/98 and 99 is different... the starter on my Z has been acting up and i can take the starter off our lumina for now.

Had to drive the 88 to work today first time it left the driveway for a few weeks. feels scary and unsafe to drive compared to the Z lol, body roll like crazy and the breaking is far from what the Z can do. think its time to look into upgrading the 88 to newer suspension if its possible

3100's used the same across the board, if I recall correctly...

i was going to buy a solenoid thinking it would be cheap and might work. until they told me it was 60 bucks, i asked what that solenoid fit and they said 96/97 truck 96/97 something else and so on the list went on but was 96/97. lumina was listed as well.

I will go to the wreckers and get a whole starter for 5 bucks when i can but today i need it to work as i have a 2 1/2 hour drive to make to visit family, id rather drive the Z and not the 88.

One way to find out, ill go take it off and try it.

it fits.... it is way smaller like half the size guess thats why it looked different and was unsure it would work. even the solenoid on it is smaller, and the starter off the Z looks the same as my 88 3.1
