engine cutting out
Driving the highway today, i noticed occasionally the engine would cut out just for a second, and then it was okay. It did this about 5-6 times in 140 miles. Just like you switched the key off and back on real quick, what does that sound like to you guys? ...Coil packs? The RPM's would drop about 50-75 rpms, not much just enough to barely feel it, and i seen it on the tach.( '95 V6 3100  207,000) it didnt really feel like a fuel problem, more of an electrical glitch somewhere.Maybe ignition module inside the distributor?,ok, ignition system?...

Very strange. Anything else going on? Not to be a jerk, but you don't have a distributor. You may be on the right track, you do have a ignition control module( it's under the coils), at this time I'm not sure that's it. Water in the gas? Fuel filter? I'd start with those two first. Also when you are driving, turn your radio to 530 AM, if it works you will hear the ignition( if it cuts you will hear it). This is not the best way to do it, but you ca try it. I heard a cut when I lost my ECM. It does work, just doesen't give you much info into what's wrong.

I had a 4cyl that had a bad gnd that was a growing problem. The bad gnd was to the ignition module, it even set an engine code for EST timing wrong. My problem was more aggrevated than yours [eng. compeletely off].
Oil dirtyness on those coils and ign. module? You may just cure it by removing, cleaning, check connections [grounds fail first] and putting the same components back on.
