ok soooo....ive been in the r&d stage for a 3400 swap, 5 speed, brake upgrades....i basically want to rebuild the cavvy with 'better' gm parts. this process is guaranteed to not start for at least a few years, but in the meantime im gathering as much info as i can.
ive read that the beretta rear axle 'bolts in like stock' to the 2nd gen j platform. now obviously it wouldnt suprise me or stop me if a lil modification is required, thats not the issue. im wonderin about the rear sway bars. ive gathered that a combination of internal and external sway bars will net me best results, what im wondering is if the bars need to be fabbed up or can i mod some existing oem ones? i was wondering about the neon rear disc conversion on a lbody rear end on a jbody platform, but a search of stickies told me it wont be a problem (thx again 3x00-modified). anything else.....oh ya when running the lines it seems easier and cleaner to bypass the banjo bolt and jus run ss lines. is there going to be any difference in brake bite between the ss lines and stock banjo setup? im sure ill think of more and im sure u gus already kno most of this stuff sooooo....dont flame me too hard
