2.8 eng - injectors are off the car
Question: I should be able to apply 12 volts (limited to about .8 amps) and compressed air to activate injectors right? Barely trickles.
All ohm at 7, all connectors at the harness show 10v with ign on.
Will take them in for servicing but at least want to check flow and spray pattern beforehand.

88 models past vin 500000 do not require cleaning of the injectors (normally) as they changed the design. If they are performing poorly you can get them cleaned or replace them. IF they are going in for service why check them and risk frying one out? Also, they are not checked at the factory that makes them that way. A pressurized fluid is put to them and they are pulsed to ensure function and spray pattern. COmpressed air does not allow for spray check and also can be too high a pressure and damage or give a bad check.

Crud could come from the gas tank or deteriorated hoses. Check the hoses, pop in a filter, and if you can drop the tank and verify the in tank filter (a bag looking thing) is not ripped.
As for servicing, if these are the original injectors another option is new ones. This is pricey but considering the age of the injectors might be worth it. Otherwise you might be replacing them soon anyway just from wear.

have changed out the fp before
so yea I need to go after that
tank and do some cleaning
have a lifetime warranty on the pump
so I'm changing it out, just can't afford
new injectors otherwise I wouldn't
hesistate to go that route

If the injectors only have 7 ohms of resistance they need to be replaced. They should read about 12 ohms.
