Post by themadness »

i have some left over undercoating and some "great stuff" foam insulation. where are good places to put insulation to quiet the inside ride a little? and other general sound deadening advice would be cool

Do NOT use "Great Stuff". A guy on NastyZ tried it and had rust problems. It attracts moisture and holds it. I'll see if I can dig up the thread.

As far as sound deadener is concerned...doing the floor, firewall & doors with DynaMat or similar material will make a big difference. Some use "Peel & Seal" from Lowe's as a cheap option, and eDead is a little cheaper than DynaMat but made for cars. One of my hot rod mags just did a story on some new DEi stuff that isn't as heavy as traditional insulation, but it's expensive as hell. Like $700 to do one Camaro.
