I just put a Used Motor in my GTZ. 94 16v Quad.
Couple of small issues with it are
Between 4-5 rpm it sounds like I have a nasty turbo or serious Spray.
I hear alotta valve or timing chain noise.
Other than that its fine (Noisy bugger).

The valvetrain noise is typical in the Quads. The timing chain can be noisy as well. Though, it would be wise to replace the chain and guides BEFORE the chain goes out. Tend to right around 100k usually. So, if the shop didn't replace it you should. The turbo/spray sound.... can you be more descriptive? Are you at WOT when you hear it or heavy load or coming down off throttle? Where does it sound like it's coming from?  Just the engine bay in general or...?

Sounds like  the engine compartment. I replaced the throttle body gasket and a few hoses.
The sound would deffinately have to be at WOT.
Sounds like it may be a breather or exhaust. Just not sure cuz I wont high rev in driveway like that.
