85-88 NOS Grand Am Parts

Post by dhenderz »

Do you know anyone with a first gen N-body or specifically a Grand Am. I am cleaning out the barn and have a bunch of interior parts, steering wheels & headlights that are brand new, still in the boxes. I have pics up on my photobucket site.

PM me if you know anyone looking to restore their GA.

Thanks.

I no longer have the 88 in my sig, (I should delete that) but a buddy of mine has a really nice 1988 turbo 5 speed coupe! I will pass this onto him. Could you post the link to the pics?

I still have a bunch of hard to find 85-88 SE parts myself, but nobody has these darn cars anymore so we may be stuck with the stuff forever! :(

I like Grand Am's. Mom had a 1987 blue 4door one when I was a kid. 2.5 litre auto in it and I learned alot of the simple maintance like oil changes, thermostats, brakes, coolant flushes,etc.... Real clean car from FL.Got traded in on a brand new '98 Sunfire back in '97. Most them Grand Am round here rot to nothing behind the wide body mouldings (Including my G.F.'s 1998 Grand Am GT I'm currently D.D.).

One of my favorite professors in college had one with a Q4 back in the day. He said he bought it new and when the third engine blew a head gasket he pissed on the tire, left it on the side of the road and never looked back. (Whether or not this is true I don't know, but it's a good story.) haha

I had my Q4 GTZ at the time and somehow it always ended up in my designs.

His is the 89-91 body style, but some of the int/ext parts are still interchangeable with 85-88.

They made a lot of changes in 1989. The pieces in the photo are for the older interior.

Doe the steering wheel for sale have the gray horn paddles?

This I know, (I've had 2 88's and a 90), but like I said quite a few int/ext parts are interchangeable (which I have done).

Yes it does. Here's his steering wheel pics: http://s912.photobucket.com/albums/ac32 ... or%20Sale/

Some of his parts must be 85-86 SE parts because they are not 87-88.

Yes, all of the GA parts were originally purchased for a 1986 GA SE that I owned. Planned on keeping the car, but ended up selling it many years ago. Ah, life plans - how they change!

Anyway, if anyone is interested in them just drop me a PM. I'm not looking to make a ton of $$ on these. Just want to get rid of them and can't bring myself to throw them into the trash.

And, as you likely know, the steering wheel will fit most any GM late model year car.

Its too bad those maker lights wont work for my GA. Thing i need mostly right now is the rear interior quarter panels. Just realized the vinyl is lifting in quite a few areas on them :( Also, same goes for a leather wrapped SE wheel fro the 89-91, would love to have one of those :D
