LIMG set?
Well I didn't use any lock tight and now I have to do it all over again.
Is there a list of Fel Pro part numbers?
I have the TB gasket and the part numbers for the EGR and the adapter.
Once again it's a 3100 with the 3400 intakes.

Lock tight? What would you have used it for may I ask? I never used any on mine either.....

Re: LIMG set?
Shouldn't use loctite, but a thread sealant.
I wouldn't worry about it. Deal with it if a problem arises.

Not worried. Been fine for the 20k I have put on the engine since.

Re: LIMG set?
Just read that some of the guys were using it for the lower bolts. I see that none of them posted.

Re: LIMG set?
If you torque it correctly I would think Loctite would be unnecessary.

I'll try it. Freaken hard to tell, it's easy to put down 10ftlbs just turning the bolt. I sure didn't get it done right the first time.
Ok one last thing: I found some 3400 intake gaskets. Do I have to have the 95 lowers or can I use the 3400 lowers? Thought they were the same, but the 2000's were metal.

Re: LIMG set?
Simple. Rent an inch lb torque wrench. All of the specs I followed most used numbers like 64 inch lbs or something, and since I had available here an inch lb wrench, I used it.. Either that or divide by 12 to get foot lbs. Most foot lbs tools aren't very accurate at less than 30, and get worse the lower you go.

Damn true on that. I do have a 3/8 drive torque wrench that goes that low, but it sure doesn't work worth a crap down there. Freaken miss the old V8's, never needed stuff like this for them.

Re: LIMG set?
MPB if you use loctite on intake bolts I'll e-bitch slap you.
No need bro. Properly snugged and torqued if you're anal. Most important thing on ANY intake or exhaust manifold is tightening SEQUENCE. People gently caress that up regularly and are always surprised when they get a vacuum/exhaust/coolant leak. Generally speaking MOST intakes are circular from the inside out. But get the pattern. Be safe.
